    Sativas and Anxiety

    The more sativa that a plant has in it the more of a head trip you will get from smoking it. Sativa plants are not good for people who have anxiety because if you smoke a lot you will be tripping in your head, your pulse rate will go up and your thoughts will be all over the place. This can lead to a panic attack or just simply feeling nervous or anxious. Indicas or hybrids that are mostly indica are better for people with anxiety because they slow your thoughts down and calm you, rather than speed you up and make you think faster.

    Find a good Indica and as with everything, use in moderation. MJ can be a cause or cure.

    It took me many years to find the indicas that best suit me for anxiety. For me, Northern Lights, Strawberry Cough, and most Kush strains will do the trick. If it's really bad, maybe play some really relaxing music while you toke or just keep focused on an activity you enjoy, ie..video games, cars, w/e etc.. Just don't over do it in 1 toke session. If your tolerance is high, stop for a few days/weeks. Hang in there and good luck.:hippy:

    it's awesome.

    I do get anxiety from SuperSilverHaze and on rare occasions, too much White Widow when vaping.

    Sativas and Anxiety

    I have found that in me that the sativas works as a amplifier of your current state. A fine thought can turn sweet... a sour moment can turn bitter. Ii use it to pay attention to such moments for later pondering...kind of like a green highlighter. So I can understand why anyone with anxiety would find a Sativa uncomfortable.

    Sativas and Anxiety

    Sometimes I do get anxiety when buds are harvested too early... I've found it was due to immature commercial weed as well as early bud samples during flowering. If already flowering a sat dom pheno I would advice to do so until you observe 60% milky, 40% amber trychs. She will be much better.

    Well for me, the Indicas tend to bring on Anxiety i've herd it go both ways, so i think it depends on the person. I like a nice tasty Sativa. Plus I dont get much done on the Indica LOL.

    Sativas and Anxiety

    The first time I smoked a weed with a very high THC level I got a little goofy and was walking around the house checking windows and doors at bedtime. I just talked myself back down and laughed it off.
    The reason in my opinion is the ratio of THC to CBD. If I can generalize, THC can make you anxious and the CBD is what makes you sleepy/couch locked. I like weed with a balance so I can emjoy the high yet also feel the body buzz for pain relief.

    If you are near Oakland, try Harborside Health Center and talk to one of the budtenders about the issue and they can recommend something not to overpowering.

This normally happens when I smoke more than usual, say more than one or two grams depending on the quality. This has happened a couple times to me and I got to thinking, could it be the more intense high of a Sativa that triggers it? Panic attacks and Marijuana do not mix well. Does anyone have any experience with anxiety and specifically Sativa strains?

    Thank you in advance, peace.:hippy::rastasmoke:
