Learning from LOC NAR's bust...

I just got through reading the threads from when LOC NAR got busted...

Pretty hairy stuff, it got me to thinking..."How can I be more careful/secure?"

I've made stupid mistakes.

I've bought from Ebay/online with credit cards.
I've got tons of photo evidence on my hard drive and on this site.
I had loose lips when i started cuz i was young and eager to be cool (ha...what a fool...)

So the question is...how do i go about securing my assets?

Although more people know about it than i would like...i have since sworn myself to secrecy and haven't talked about it in a while and those who know haven't brought it up in a while. Should i just ride it out and pretend like they never knew?

What about online/credit card transactions...is there anyway to clear my name there? i've since gone to cash only transactions at my local hydro store (even though it's fucking $$$$)

Is there anyway to edit my Username on the forum (without losing my rep? i worked hard to get my 117 posts! haha!!!)? it's a widely known nickname that i've had forever and a simple google search of "elskeetro" brings up all my posts.

I suppose the best way to do it would be to move my grow op somewhere else and then be tight lipped from then on. but damnit. it's so convenient where it is now...i'd never be able to top the spot where it is.

How can i rebuild a secure feeling? that's what i'd like to know.

-Don't grow in the location you grew at when you were less careful.
-Let it be known to people you told, if it comes up, that you 'did dumb shit when you were younger' = outta bidnaz- even complain that you can't find weed any more.
-Don't be seen with anything that looks like homegrown at parties. Keep some downtowndirtbrown for those occasions.
-Get a thumb drive for your pics and documents, and reformat your HD next time you upgrade the 'pooter, using a 'zero writer' first. I don't know how to do this but it removes recoverable traces of erased data
-new username... and DON'T TOUCH THE ACCOUNT from an IP known to be your home. Change old one? sorry, changes aren't possible- the software isn't set up for it.

SAME ADVICE MY BEST FRIEND (IN WA STATE) GAVE ME 4 DAYS AGO. I feel like a criminal for having medical needs. Even if I did not have medical needs, I think I've always wanted to grow all my life anyway.

Everyone I know is always looking for weed for me and can't find it, are in NA or something. But, I bet they do know and are pulling my leg, for security! Which is just what I should do, now! So, I am gonna keep asking them if they have found some for me, yet?

You shouldn't have to feel like a second class citizen to want to grow and feel better! Even if you don't need it for medical purpose's, just growing is medicinal and healing! Wouldn't my ex love it; get the joint property seized by DEA. That would be a shock and least expected surprise! Almost makes me want to plant and call the DEA myself to end the property division! lol

THERE ARE PROGRAMS YOU CAN BUY TO ERASE YOUR HARD DRIVE AND NO INFORMATION CAN BE RETRIEVED FROM IT EVER. I had it done to a PC a few years ago, before i donated it to charity! Then have then re-load your programs. I have heard, you can buy the program and do it yourself.

I've never put my credit cards on line or used ebay. but I was about to! Not now!

Holy crap, the Air Force is real active the last few days. I live by an air base and they are practicing again--for something! I don't think they are going slow enough to worry about pot. Why don't they put those damn DEA agents in Columbia or mid-east! pr

I typed someones email address into google and it came up with a craigslist ad to a car they were selling! dumb! I keep everything separate. takes less than two mins to set up. I also just have tried to break my paranoia. I joined this site to help! but I also watch my back alittle!

Google is a bunch of computers that copy everything on the I-net and store it on servers with biga** hardrives for us to access when we do a google search like this

this could be a temporary 1-2 year step, after all u r going to be growing for the years to come right? dry the possible lead for a good while... let it go cold

and what stinky said, just make sure everyone who knew or might have heard from those u talked to, KNOWS u r not doin it anymore. donno if they know ur medical situation or not, but if they dont its best to tell them u quit or cut back to casual smokin @ parties n stuff for a while, until u can get your secure feeling (initial comfy grow area) back!

i donno if deleting your online accounts is going to help... after all information on internet is kinda backed up on most sites and logged in more than 1 place.. ie if u delete your ebay account, they still can pull your transaction and information
