    MODS: Hydro-Soil...drop-downs?

Curious if there would be a chance (or a desire) to add a drop-down designator, like the state flags or mood indicators, that identify dirt-baggers, coco-crispers or wet-heads...(soil, coco, hydro...)

Was trying to help a member troubleshoot his grow, but he didn't mention he was growing in coco, and the way he was talking, I assumed that he was in soil. (I know, I know)
Was looking at low ph or overwatering as maybe being the problem, then he threw-out the coco revelation. My first reaction was 'holy crap...this lack of imformation could have killed his grow.'

Anyway, I thought it might be helpful if there was no doubt at all, and then we wouldn't have to guess a members set-up. Would think this is more important than seeing what mood the members are in.
If it only saves one grow, it would be worth it, too. It's only happened this once, (that I know of) but it made me wonder...

I'm not saying I think this site "needs" any new things, because I think that ANYTHING we get for free is enough... BUT....

I'd use that shit  Haha

However, I DO feel that the mood selections, even though they do not play a pivotal role in forum communication, aren't useless. If there were only 10 or so choices, maybe that's pointless, but the volume of moods to choose from does give members a bit of freedom to display their personality (even though I haven't even changed mine in months :hippy

Either way, cool idea. I also notice that people tend to leave out vital information when asking for questions... and this would help save people some time and frustration. The only argument I can imagine is that not everyone grows or frequents the grow section... so the addition would not benefit all members. The Methods forum would be asking for a vape/bong/bowl/etc icon. The Spirituality forum would want religious images... yeah, you get it :stoned:

Personally, I think that everyone should HAVE to fill out the Troubleshooting form before asking ANY plant problem question. It wouldn't be too hard to fill it out at the beginning of each grow and save it. Then you would have an outline to adjust and revise as the season continues. I think people get discouraged when they are told to fill out the form for a simple question..... but in reality, there are NO simple questions. Everything is different, so the form is crucial.

    Shit, I wish I didn't present that argument because I want a "Dirt-Bagger" logo
