Marijuana leaf ads on Olympia buses raise ire

OLYMPIA â?? Some riders and at least one driver are complaining about an advertisement featuring a marijuana leaf on some transit buses in Olympia.

The Olympia Hempfest ad accepted by Intercity Transit has an image of a marijuana leaf and the slogan, "Equal Rights are for Everybody."

A lawyer for the transit agency, Tom Bjorgen, says the ads could have been rejected if they were viewed as encouraging people to smoke pot.

However, Bjorgen says a reasonable reader would more likely see the ads as a political statement for legalization of marijuana.

Olympia Hempfest founder Jeremy Miller says Intercity Transit was paid about $3,000 to place the ads on the sides of 12 buses for four weeks.

You no what , good for them!:thumbsup: They want to campain for legilization .. well sorry naive and close minded members of society but thats our right. So why don't you grow up and take a good look at the world, there are so many other things they could whine about, weed should be at the bottom of their list.

Like in my home town, some guy made statues to be placed on a building, they are way above the ground and can hardly been seen, the people are in swimmin possitions because the building has a pool and swim team... they were also nude statues that people had a fit over. What was he soposed to do? Carve a bathsuit on it?

Sorry to drag on but example 2:

A cow statue was put up in my town by the milk factory I guess you could call it, well it was a male cow with a female on its sholders (cartoon style) and you could see the male cows penis. Not a big deal to anyone driving by right, wrong! Quite a number of people complained :wtf: I just don't understand? Its natural ?
