    Watch out ordering from bettergrowhydro on Amazon.com

    Just a little heads up from a buyer to warm all of those looking for online hydroponic deals. I ordered many times from this seller, and the small nute deliveries were not a problem. But they have an antiquated system and no tracking info is offered. Many people have complained about them and how there is no notification if there is a change in delivery date you get nothing at all until it is a week or two after the expected delivery date and you have to track them down wondering where your shipment is! They shipped my duct to the wrong address and then wouldn't ship it expedited to get it to me faster. So I got nothing but a refund which I had when I started. And had to order another duct from them initially because they were so slow in shipping that I thought I had better order another duct but shipped expedited. When the date came for the expedited duct to be delivered, it hadn't even been shipped at all. This is maddening to me! It is really frustrating because I had to send them an email about my expedited duct never making it here in time, when they shoulld be contacting me! And surprise, surprise, it wasn't in stock! Today, I got a Hanna TDS tester from them, and they only sent half my order (didn't get my calibration solution packets I ordered). This is like the "Bizarro World" of businesses. I wonder if they have someone in their shipping department who hates the company for some reason because I have never seen such ineptitude in my life. Check out their feedback on Amazon.com. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

    It is almost as if they took a class called "how not to run a business" or "how to lose all your valuable customers in one week". They get very defensive in responding to negativity when you finally get frustrated with their disregard for you! I love HTG Supply and the way they conduct business. I had read a thread posted in here and tried them myself. They are the real deal! I hadn't read the feedback in the seller's profile on amazon.com, but when I had an order lagging in time shipped, I checked and was shocked with all the negative feedback they get. And they all sound like the same complaint...no communication whatsoever!! Well, I can rant and rave all day, but it gets me agitated. Thanks for your input, XCrispi

    Bummer that you've had problems. I've been dealing directly thru their website for years with no problems at all.
    They are always good about sending an e-mail with the link to track my shipment. I know within a day of it being shipped what's up, and where it's at.

    Yeah, I was wondering maybe it is different ordering from amazon.com. I did get some quick deliveries of nutes (I am on east coast), but have had several situations where I was waiting patiently for orders to arrive, and when it goes past the expected delivery dates (with no email from them that they are out of stock), that is when you have to track them down. I know the world isn't perfect, but as a consumer, all I ask is an update to let me know if there is a change. It feels like chasing my tail! And I was surprised to get poor service because initially I had gotten 2 small deliveries, that got here in 2-3 days! So I didn't expect any issues at all when I ordered my duct for my grow tent. And from there they have really dropped the ball and I won't use them again, it requires too much frustration for me!

    Perhaps it's more like a mom-n-pop operation, than a big business. They've always done me good, tho. Had purchased a refurbished 400w HPS, and the lamp wouldn't fire. E-mailed them, they said it was likely the capacitor, and that they'd send me one.
    The next week, the package I got from them had a 400w bulb, not the capacitor. I e-mailed them, trying to explain how important this light is to me. (without telling them just how important it was) Got no response, and I shot them a bit testier e-mail. No response.
    About a week later, the capacitor came with a note that simply said..."Sorry, keep the bulb. BGH"
    Customer service - pretty crappy
    Customer satisfaction - Yup, I'm satisfied. Everything else I have ordered thru them has arrived promptly.
