I think you both will enjoy Taos. It is named after the Taos Pueblo people who live nearby. It started out as an artist colony and has a unique cultural mix. Plus the vistas are amazing.

One of the destinations we have been thinking about is NM, I liked it when I stopped by years back, even though I was told to leave the state by some state police or something, or was that AZ, shrug.
