Filing Dissability and being a MMJ pateint
OKAY!
I just finished my Phone interview,it took about 30 minutes, just went through questions like why I can nopt work and what meds Im taking, didnt mention weed, just my other meds for pain, insomnia and other stuff.
It went pretty well, they asked me stuff about what job I worked for the longest and why I quit my last job and if I am in any training. Also they kept asking me about special skills.
I also went to a new doctor and he told me to go swimming......I told him my back hurts and he told me I am overweight and thats why my back hurts. He knows I have arthritis but he kept insisting on me going swimming 5 days a week.....he kept mentioning michael Phelps and how fit he is.I aint michael phelps.....but I guess the doctor knows what he is talking about,I just feel it is gonna hurt me more, but also hurt me getting dissability.

lol,
I seen a commercial on TV for a lawyer saying if you got turned down for dissability even though your doctor said you no can work, to give him a call,I wrote his number down just incase,I probably wouldnt have done that before, but after hearing everyones experiences and advice,it seems like the thing to do.
Killer: whats an initial detremenation? Is that after the interview?
Has anyone ever gotten a lawyer and not gotten ssi?
Im just drained out of all my savings long ago and it sucks depending on people.

Im in the same boat as you. I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and had brain surgery 5 weeks ago. I am now going through the disability process. I filled out the "pain and limitations" survey and now am waiting upon the decision. Ive been told a lot of people are denied the first time, so be ready to appeal.

Stickyf: Get a new Dr. ASAP! And when you see this dude, next. Tell him you have been going to a friends. Got a book and did the 'back stretching' exercise's gentle and about 5 min. of swimming and the next day after you were up and about for several hours you began hurting worse than ever. So, you went and did it again and even gentler. Like: 'drinking the hair of teh poison that kicked you (or however that saying goes)! And you kept it up, due to how much you were eager to cure yourself at his request! I wish I were joking!
Tell him you are getting much worse and can't even stand anymore to brush your teeth due to back pain. If that doc doesn't become passionate, get a new one asap! Your determination has a lot to do with what her says and writes. You'll never get it with that as your doc!
See an attn: he/she will send you to a doc they work with and make the process a little easier on you. Good luck, sorry you are going to have a tuff time. It is lawyer time-the way they have made it, does not reflect on you.
Killerw: So sorry to hear you have not had much luck with this and keep it up, even when it seems impossible. My support is with you!
Diablo: Sorry to hear you probs; you as everyone above will remain in my prayers.

I really dont wanna change doctors, but I will do whatever it takes to get this whole process done with.I guess its just that my Medical MJ doctor is at the clinic I go to with all the other doctors that have been seeing me.Plus its just down the street from where I live.
Killer-Thanks for the attachment,So I just hand this to my doctor,Or if I go get a new doctor and give it to them?Do I have to mail this?
Diablo-I feel for ya bro, everyone in here,I am at the point where I walk in to the doctors office and they all know me,lol

That file should be included with the rest of your doctors chart notes. Have each doctor you have fill it out.
