I recommend hiring a Social Security attorney ... doesn't cost you up front, they will get a percentage of your 'back pay' (I think my attorney wound up with something like $1300, well worth it) ... IF you have medical history and records, it goes smoothly ... (TIP: if you are in your 40s, etc., it usually sails right thru, they tend to fight or delay the young people, as they see paying out shitloads of $$$ over the years) ... I filed in May, and had my first S.S. Disability check in October ... never even had to go to a hearing (cause I'm so fucked up :thumbsup ... BTW: keep your MJ recommendation to yourself, while it shouldn't HURT your case, it definitely will not HELP it ... :jointsmile:
