Please help first grow, - with picturesHi, first post and first grow lol,

I am growing two skunk 1 plants in a area around 3 feet by 8 feet, with 4 foot flourescent lights, the temperature stays around 80 degrees,

the plants are around 3 week old and were growing lovely untill the leaves suddenly started to droop, the soil i am using holds water quite alot, so i saturate the plants and then let the soil dry for 3 days again before watering, on the third day i left the plant without watering the leaves started to droop so i watered, and its bein hours and still the leaves havent perked up yet.

what could be the cause of this??

please help and thanks in advance

Please help first grow, - with picturesWould help if you filled out the troubleshooting guide, and if you could snap a couple of clear shots of the base of the plants, (including the soil) and one from the top looking down, that would be helpful, too.

Without any other info, looks like underwatering, but if no drainage, could possibly be low oxygen in the soil...?

Please help first grow, - with picturesAttempting to grow in compost is likely the problem. You need a potting soil.
Transplant asap, and make sure soil has perlite.

Please help first grow, - with pictures1st off,get yourself a bag of Perlite! Available from any garden centre, mix it with your new soil about 40% Perlite. Then take your plant, stem between your fingers and turn upside down, gently tap out the plant, then gently remove all compost that DOESN`T have roots in it,bit of your new mix in the pot to bring the plant up to height(you can bury a bit of your stem)then back fill and firm-jobs a good ùn.Just a few tips.... that looks like over watering to me,its better to water little and often than soaking and waiting 3/4 days to dry out, also dont use too big a pot as your plants wont be able to use up the water and will get oxygen starved and root rot-your roots need air.
 Peace RM.

Please help first grow, - with picturesok, thanks for the help its appriechated.
the plants seem to really have perked back up today, i placed some paper towels underneaf the pots to soak up water from the soil through the holes in the bottom of the pots, so would you still reccomend transplanting to a potting soil or maybe jus cool out on the watering and improve drainage??
 Thanks, Matt.

Please help first grow, - with picturesCompost is used to ammend soil in your ourdoors garden. Potting soil is for...pots.
Compost will lower ph, does not drain well, and it just doesn't work as a stand-alone potting mix. Wouldn't matter how much perlite you add, it's not for cannabis. Contains stuff like weed seeds, roadkill, fungus gnat eggs, doesn't it?
As with all things in life, use the right tool for the job. It usually makes your life easier. Get some potting soil.

Please help first grow, - with picturesYou have some major stretch going their... If you are serious about wanting to grow get a Decent Lamp maybe a T5 or something or substance... Transplant just get a bag of Miracle Grow is better then what you have going on their because you are not going w/ nutes probably (Just guessing) When you transplant pop it out the pot and loose what ever Shit you can then just drop in a new POT and add MG soil... Forget the Perlite and all crazy soils for the situation you are in now!!! Unless you want to make a investment by starting to use NUTES investing in a lamp ( Lots of Reading and studying) what are you going to use for the light's out periods? I see the plant in front of a window there? You should do some reading and rethink your situation... IMO Well Good Luck GL1
