what flowering plants can I get for texas winter.
I live outside of Houston, and trust me on this one, nothing will bloom for you year round. I've tried for years. I simply plant annuals, and for wintering here, I love panseys. They'll take any cold we get, and bloom through the end of April. Tons of sping/summer varities work here.
I have found an interesting plant that smells exremely skunky, and is a wonderful outdoor masking scent, though I have no idea what it's called. I picked roadside seeds for the pictured plants near Rolla MO. They flower from spring til fall. Uploading three pics, so maybe someone will know what they are...
