Interested in moving to Southern Cali.

Hey guys, I didnt know where to post this so i posted it here. I am in az right now but due to asthma complications I need to pick a different state to live in. I am originally from colorado so things are different down here. Would you all say california would be a safe place to move to with asthma? I also plan on applying for a medical card because of anxiety and partial insomnia. Also can any of you tell me about the cost of living there? I used to be an electrician in co and all but im not sure i wanna get into it again. what do some mediocre jobs there pay? like restaurants and stuff? also where would you all suggest living if you dont have alot of cash other than compton lol.

Minimum wage is 8$/hr. Life in LA is crazy as fuck, and it is a shithole, but in a way I have grown to love it. Cost of living is high. Unless you have a career you best be having a roommate. The herb is grade A+++++ though.

Ive lived in Southern Cal all my life...It is better up north...transit , weed, rules ,people . East bay for fun or Sonoma county to get away

I spent the past year or so in Berkeley. Love Nor Cal...there is nice rave scene there too.

its damn expensive in CA. We get shafted by the state with the highest gas prices in the country. If you plan on living anywhere decent, expect to pay double whatever you're paying now in AZ. If you're going to work at a restaurant, you'll need to get a roommate and live in the ghetto...unless you're managing a decent restaurant. Unfortunately that usually equates to living with a ghetto roommate in the ghetto. You would not be able to afford a nice apartment in a nice area by yourself unless you hit the lottery and move into the rare rent controlled areas or lived in the CA boonies.....like central CA aka "the armpit"

In my area, a 1 bedroom goes for over $1300/mo. Drive 5-10 miles in one direction and a 1 bdrm can be as cheap as $750. Drive same distance in another direction and they can be $1800.

all right buddy im gonna be your life saver here... all these other ppl are talkin about so cal and nor cal... but theyre talking about the expensive parts. ive lived in cali all my life, i do suggest moving here if ur in AZ right now lol.... medical cards range from 140-170 for a yrs prescription.. the closer you are to LA the more expensive its going to be. same goes for san fransisco. bud is fucking great here.... doesnt really matter where you are, cuz ppl in the south get their shit from up north... and from down here... its cheaper up there but like they said, its more expensive up there.... if you really wana move here and dont mind being a couple hours from LA... go to the palm springs area.... it might be boring, i mean i fuckin grew up there born till 18... INDIO or LA QUINTA... my hometowns... yeah it was fuckin boring as hell but then again i was under age and kids cant really do shit anywhere anyway... also... it cant be half bad compared to AZ.. if anything maybe similar (depending what part of AZ ur in..)
you can get apartments there ranging from hmmm i think as low as 400 a month up to like 1300 depending on what type of place u want and where u get it. palm desert is more expensive..indio is probably cheapest... cat city is pretty cheap too but kinda ghetto... (cat city is right next to palm springs... both cities are homo central, so if you're gay.. go there i guess lol) but yeah i suggest la quinta or indio... nice area.. just hot as fuck in the summer... VERY nice winters.... theres some medical clinics in palm springs, which is like 15 away from indio...

if u dont wana go there, and wana live like out in the boonies or something... to make it REAL cheap... try beaumont or banning... orr yucca valley (i dont suggest yucca its fuckin in the middle of nowhere)... DHS (desert hot springs) is near palm springs but its Meth central... you might have a nextdoor neighbor who's house explodes cuz they were cookin up meth... so dont go there either. i live in the fullerton (orange county) area right now... fuckin expensive... my place is 2 bed 2 bath, 1476 a month (4 roommates tho so its not that bad)....
