I agree. We do have some good ones. And I'm not one of those who thinks all politicians are crooked or in it for the wrong reasons. I couldn't get through the day successfully if I believed that. I think many of them truly are motivated by public service, and I know it seems like we're often stuck in gridlock, but I think that's the nature of a two-party system.

The truth is we actually balance each other out in a complementary fashion. Politicians and folks who work with them are at peace with this fact and recognize that the two factions have to work together in order to achieve progress. It's the folks who're not so close to the process who get stuck in the polarity.

Thoughts from a moderator's perspective
Thanks to those of you who've been helping keep this area of these boards focused on civil, real discussion instead of silly, childish insults. These boards have been a full-time job tonight! Must be the summertime heat.
