Yeah, I'd be wary of geeks bearing gifts. Osama can no more change the marijuana laws, than he could stick with one position in his campaign without checking the polls first. The food and drug administration has a few guidelines for 'new' drugs under their control, which is where it would end-up. Then there's the AMA...

Early-on, when individual states were passing legislation with regards to medical use of cannabis, the feds had a backlash reaction (an "I don't fucking think so" attitude) to the states' laws, with more attention to enforcement and prosecution. Would look for the same type of backlash from those ultra-conservative states that don't like any progressive 'morals' being shoved down their throats by the feds.

With the feds, you'd have to convince the Surgeon General to accept the medical use of cannabis before anything meaningful could be accompolished on the federal end of it. As it's his medical legasy on the line, not likely to jump into it without going thru the proper testing stages.
Years of testing things like strain stabilization, acceptable delivery systems, (bongs vs. vaporizers vs. tinctures vs. Marinol...) developing THC and Delta 9 inhibitors, (to wean 'addicts' off the nasty stuff) dosage requirements for size/age/symptoms of the user, short and long-term effects...and finally,where/who could grow it to the governments standards.

Then there's the wording of the disclaimer..."warning...may cause munchies or a...um...what else does it do...?"

The only time cannabis comes into play when I vote, is in the state/local elections. They are, at this time, the ones that determine your local cannabis enforcement/acceptance. Other than that, I vote in the nationals for the candidate that represents the direction I think is best for our country.

Altho I'm grateful that a few states have med. cannabis laws, the same 'false hope' goes for those national organizations that promise that if you send them $20.00 per month, they'll change Washington D.C.'s stranglehold on the misrepresentations of cannabis and it's users. Been thirty years since we first started donating to that cause...and only a handfull of states have med. cannabis laws...? Not a very effective or impressive track record.

Have a good one!:s4:
After 911, he refused to wear the pin, citing that it doesn't represent patriotism, because, of course he's patriotic... (sorry, I just threw-up in my mouth)
Anyway, now his handlers slap the pin on as if it attones for his past indiscressions and sins against his own society. A rosary-flag, of sorts, blessed by the messiah builder, Rev. Wright, himself. (similarly blessed flagpins available (for a $250.00 or more donation) at ReperationistAndFalseMessiahOfHope.com)

Am I angry, as someone has so judgementally put it...? No, it's more like an incredulous disdain. But as the date nears, I do check my facts closer, and I love to call-out bullshit factless posts. The statements are so easy to check, I don't even feel it's an imposition challenging those that are too lazy to have an original thought and/or common sense.

Here's two flags.
The flag from germany (circa 1920's) was red and white. Then, that great and partiotic german, Adolph Hitler made a couple of changes...well...you get the idea.
