Thanks so much for the advice, everyone! I had no idea you could get pollen in these ways.

It's fairly difficult to get out to the site, so I only go once a week or so. I imagine if I did the "bag over the branch" thing I'd have to go every day. I could make the time for a little while... how long would it take though?

If the plants would most likely drop some bananas if I left some buds on past ripe, then maybe I'll just try to go with that method. I could fully harvest one plant, and then leave half the buds on the other plant and see if it pollinates itself. Think that would work? Or if I need to I can harvest one plant and leave the 2nd plant untouched if that would give it more chances of self-pollinating. I'd be willing to sacrifice a plant to get more seeds if that is the case.
