Most people dry their bud, then cure it in mason jars and then some "water cure" their bud. Different strokes for different tokes....

Water curing is for problem situations, such as known overfert immediately prior to harvest. Do not water cure properly grown bud- it WILL lose its flavors.
Chop plants.
Trim off all large fan leaves and cut bud leaves down close to the surface of the bud.
Hang trimmed plants upside down in a dim, cool, airy place.
Allow to dry about one week, depending upon humidity, or until the small twigs snap rather than bend.
Remove buds from the plant and place loosely in mason jars.
Close tightly and wait 1-2 days.
REmove lid for 1/2 hour, replace.
Wait another day.
Repeat until there is no noticeable difference in surface moisture, then seal and store in a cool, dark place.
A good cure takes about a month.
