Latest Tracking Polls Released August 2, 2008:

* Gallup Tracking: Obama 44, McCain 44.
* Rasmussen Tracking: Obama 47, McCain 46.

Could it be that Obama's polling numbers have actually gone down because of his overseas trip? The Gallup and Rasmussen tracking polls show a dead heat between McCain and Obama despite the fact that they were showing Obama ahead in the 5-8% range not too long ago.

The Reverend Wright controversy, his wife's "proud of America" comment, and his wearing Somali garb, proved one major important thing: Obama has the unfortunate requirement of proving his allegiance to America. By taking this trip to Europe and the Middle East, more uncertainty brews among the American electorate. Obama, now, has to seriously change the dialogue from international and global issues to issues that are America... like our economy.

The two state polls we are releasing here just so happen to have McCain ahead despite the fact they are states that McCain should be winning anyways.

The upcoming week of polls should show gains for McCain.

John McCain's Polling Numbers Pull Even Because of Obama's Trip?



Obama has been too pompous and arrogant with his campaign and some of the things he says. Here we can see that reflected in the polls. If this were poker then Obama would've been the guy who pushes all in EVERY hand and gets lucky. His false sense of superiority is really hurting him and McCain called Obama's "All in" with his small stack and won the pot this round.

I don't support Obama but this should've been a slam dunk for him. I'm almost thankful as it's restored some faith that some people are not blinded by lengthy speeches or the way the Obama campaign likes to put spin on a situation.
