Saw it last night and it was pretty damn funny. Nothing I'd ever consider great, but the type of humor in it goes right along with the other comedies Seth Rogan and his gang of dieviants have put out (Knocked Up, Superbad).

James Franco played a very convincing stoner for not actually being one I must say. The best character has to be Red though.

"Hey guys, can we all be best friends?"

Other than the occassional dull moment, I'd recommend it to anyone who has a sense of humor.

I saw that and then I went to go see it opening night...it was funny

But it's one of those movies where once you see it you don't really wanna see it again...typical Seth Rogen and crew movie

I thought it was hilarious, the acting was hilarious and realistic. Did anyone else think the movie gave off an anti-marijuana vibe towards the end of the movie? I mean dale gave that big speech about how weed was bad and how it got them into that big mess and it makes them un-coordinated and all, and he never mentions anything else after that. I would have liked it a lot more if in the end he admitted it wasn't a bad thing and it was really good and showed him smokin up one more time like smoky does in Friday

Nah, he was just saying that for show.

He always admits on talk shows and whatnot that he's a frequent toker. Seth Rogan's the man. Definitely hope to meet the guy someday.

    FYI

In the "Reel Film" interview with the director and Seth Rogen featured on Comedy Central, they both stated that it was intended to be an anti-marijuana movie

    FYI

Apatow was being sarcastic. Which is why he said something along the lines of "marijuana is obviously bad because it will cause asian ninjas to come after you".

I don't remember Seth Rogan saying it was anti-marijuana...and if he did...he wasn't serious. Why would he be anti-marijuana if he admitted he smokes it very often? Trust me on this one.

Nah they didn't say it was anti-bud. Anybody see Seth Rogan on the Daily Show? His basic message was more people should smoke weed all day. The movie was fuckin hilarious though. James Franco (Saul the dealer) totally reminded me of a buddy I used to get herb from, although a tad funnier.

I saw it last night and I think it's one of the best stoners movies of all time. It's like the Disney movie of stoner movies.

I like the fact Seth Rogan portrayed how potheads simply use dealers and leave. I loved the end when they all become friends. It's awesome and heartfelt stoner movie.
