Say a plane has about 500 passengers. One of them pulls out a weapon and goes nuts, causing panic. During all that chaos, the flight attendant or air marshal is gonna know exactly which of those 500 bracelets to activate???? Nobody's gonna know whom is whom and trying to match up "that looney with the knife" to their seat number and bracelet number in the middle of a frenzy and hit the right button isn't gonna cut it. The whole idea sounds plausable at first, but it won't work in a real situation.

Maybe if an unauthorized departure from your assigned seat could trigger the device? Make sure your kids are locked in good and pray you don't have a diarrhea attack. Nah, that won't work either.

Or would everyone in the entire section of the plane get zapped to make sure they get the right one??? Nah, can't happen either, children and people with medical conditions would be injured or killed.

But, as for the idea for tracking luggage with GPS, that would be awesome! There's practically no security involved with keeping track of luggage. Don't believe me? Go hang out at where the luggage comes out onto the conveyor belt. You can pick up anything you want and walk away without anyone stopping you to check it. Checking out luggage should become a new security measure.... ensure people get their rightful luggage before they leave!
