Good reason to do just about anything.
I doubt, if gravity is much of a factor, (tides), too small a variation.

Hmm, lets think about it...

We know that some plants are strongly influenced by photoperiodicity.
So, giving a seedling almost total darkness for the first two weeks of it's life, as opposed to full moon light, by timing the planting, just might set it's "mood" for the rest of it's life.
It just might change the number of weeks 'till flower, if the plant has "expectations" imprinted in the first two weeks of life.
Or the eventual height, or leafyness, or attitude, etc.

Ah dunno really, but, it's food for thought.
What do you folks think?
