tops are purple

hey guys on a few of my plants,the tops are turning purple along with some fan leaves stems turning purple, or i should say its just a dark ugly color any clue on what it might be

purpling, or red stems, is usually caused by a wide differential between your day/night temperatures ... cosmetic, no harm done ... more rarely, it can also be caused by a phosphorous deficiency ... I wouldn't add anything, unless the plant became obviously unhealthy ... adding nutes when not needed, causes more problems than anything else ... your plant is likely OK :jointsmile:

hey thanks for the info,so i guess i will let these plants be and will just watch for other problems just to be safe

It might aslo be a 'purple' strain. One of my favorite sativas is called Potent Purple. (sativa dominant) :thumbsup:

also the strain is unknown just some bagweed seeds although the smoke wasnt bad i think the kid said it was called az's idk and the plant seems to have a more indica look..

Altho my Potent Purple is a sativa, there are plenty of 'purple' hybrids out there, from a wide variety of sources.
Without having specific strain info or pictures, you've pretty much got all the valid answers anyone can offer.
