I can already tell what you're thinking "What's this? Gandalf the skeptic, talking about mystical powers?" Well, here I am! But of course I think there's nothing mystical about it, there's surely a scientific explanation for it. That being, I think something is messed up with my electro-magnetic field. So, the problem?

Seems that if I spend too much time with any and all electronics, they inevitably start messing up. I'm always extremely careful with everything I've owned or used, but they all inevitably die in my hands. I've had 5 ipods and each and every one started having problems about 3 weeks in, and completely died 1 - 1 1/2 months in. Every videogame controller I handle enough starts to have problems eventually, every alarm clock kept by my bed, every stereo-system I played enough, every computer I sit at long enough (this has spurred me to develop skills in computer repair, on the bright side).

Basically any electronics that I keep close to me will inevitably fail. It's even gotten to the point where my one friend refused to let me touch any of his electronics. This was after I moved in with him and his perfectly-working tv of many years started buzzing loudly right after I touched it, his game controllers started messing up, and his Sandisk MP3 player started gibbling up after I used it. There may be some genetic factor, as my younger (autistic) brother can make radios instantly turn to static noise by putting his hand up to them.

So psycisists, biologists, bio-physicists, scientifically-curious folk, any theories as to what might be causing this, or how I might fix it? Because I tell ya, I've given up on buying any hand-held electronics!
