Here's another similar example, British cops get away with breaking the law as well. The cop was off duty but still got away with it.
BBC NEWS | Scotland | CCTV of policeman's headbutt
As the doorman pointed out if he had head butted the cop he would have lost his job and probably had a short holiday at her majesty's pleasure.
