If you saw....What would you do???

This isn't extreme brutality, but it is going over the line. Even if I had seen this, I would've likely intervened. But every day is a further step into a police state, things are going to shit in this time and day. I wouldn't let a police officer use a badge to scare me away from doing what is right for a victim of their brutality, what about you??

As much as I would love to step in and be a hero, all standing up to those cops would get you is a billy club to the temple. Better to just let the cops do what they think they need to do then make them pay for it later when uncle sam hears about what they did.

Call 911 RIGHT AWAY and INSIST that the shift supervisor be sent down IMMEDIATELY.

I think I would interveen verbally aposed to physically. Making comments about brutality(not smart-ass and snide ones eather but like concerns for the person) and hopefully Id have a device so I could take a video, like 40oz said, youd probibly get beaten too... I also like Stinkyattics suggestion, calling 911 doesnt seem like such a bad idea.. I know I'd call if there was any other kind of street fight like that, cops abusing power is no exception.

If you intervened, you would very likely be charged with something and probably beaten as well. A friend of mine was playing with an airsoft gun when undercovers came out of nowhere (literally) and tackled him to the ground after slamming him into his car. My other friend told the officers politely that it was not a real gun and to please stop and he was punched in the face and charged with interfering in a police investigation.

Its cool to want to play gallant hero, but not prudent.

Looks like too many cops there to intervene physically. Just keep rolling tape and call all the news channells when you get done. I've intervened twice during my lifetime and been damn lucky I didn't get killed. The first time I was overpowered and thrown in the holding cell where they proceeded to kick the shit out of me.lol
The second time I was a little smarter and won.
It does no good to call 911 for the authorities because they are the authorities and they are all either dirty or not man enough to stand up when they see someones civil rights being violated.

It's a bit worrying just how many people walked on by this incident pretending not to see it.

The thing is is that those people may see things occurring like this on a regular basis. They don't want to get the same so they choose to not intervene which is sad but in some communities, the residents have to look out for the men and women that are meant to serve and protect them.

As for the video and many others that I have seen that are similar to this, it disgusts me. I can't stand watching it knowing that these cops may not get what they deserve, while that man will probably get slammed with charges such as assault to a police officer and resisting arrest.

Now if I saw something like this happening, I'll have no problem letting the men in blue know what's on my mind. I'll probably end up getting in trouble somehow which was usually the case when i was in school. Some teachers have a tough time hearing whats actually on students minds.
