Sounds like an Osama ad.
Repubs realize that the renewable energies will not fuel our cars or homes for many years to come. There is no infrastructure to accomodate the dem's whims. We (conservatives) want the renewable energies developed along a parallel course. (you do realize that all of the 'renewable' technologies are still in the development stages, and an extreme financial burden including installation and maintenance, battery replacement, right...?) Until new drill sites are opened, and we are the ones controlling the flow, costs will continue to skyrocket.
How many years can you wait, without a car, before you can afford the new democratically mandated vehicles, when gas is no longer available for normal citizens?
How many years can your family go without heat, because your home is heated using oil, and you can't afford to retro-fit for electric heating?
Does it make sense to make the oil companies spend $15.00 per gallon to remove the oil on existing sites because of depth, carbon emission laws, enviornmental concerns, inaccesability...(in sand or shale for instance) This is the main reason the new drill sites are are needed.

If you are talking about the 300 lb cars that looked like minature golf carts, of course they wouldn't succeed. Would you buy your family a car that would look like a crushed beercan, after what would normally be a minor fender-bender? Are you ready to take a (diesel) taxi to the supermarket, because the groceries don't fit, or the weight of the groceries burns-up the electric motors...?

And just how would you have middle and lower income America afford to switch energy infrastructure overnight? Is the government going to subsidize new tech. cars for everyone? How do you heat your house using electricity from a nuke plant not even built yet, and not scheduled online for 10 years?
Democratic plan, indeed. :wtf:

Yes, we do. And it is just unreliable enough, and expensive enough that even our government hasn't switched it's government offices, nor personal homes, to the full use of the technologies they tout as the solution?

As it stands, I don't vote for crazy people. This obviously precludes me from voting for any democrat, as special interest groups spread optical rectitis, which is definatelly making them all crazy.

(optical rectitis: having your head so far up your ass, all you can see is your own shit)

Energy plans unpassed Democratic proposals include: -Use it or Lose It measure that would force an oil company to drill on the leases it currently has or turn them over to another company that will drill. -Ending tax breaks for large oil companies. -Tax incentives to companies researching of producing alternative and renewable energy sources.
