Well...some of us old dudes have been working all our lives. (37 years for me, foundry work: not for the faint of heart). Drawing a little unemployment money, is the closest thing, I will ever get to retirement...

I've paid my dues...it's no disgrace.
Dutch Pimp Reviewed by Dutch Pimp on . Unemployment Benefits Extension!!! I just got qualified by phone for an additional thirteen weeks of unemployment benefits. The president approved the extension in June 2008. My initial period was for six months and ran out Nov. 2007. Now I'll resume collecting via direct deposit into a bank account complete with a direct payment debit card. Back in the day, you'd have to make a weekly trip to sign at the Unemployment office, and you got a check in the mail. During times of high unemployment, it was done through the mail. Now Rating: 5
