I don't see why not, if it's reflective then it'll work as a reflector

No, you can't use that. It's about as shiny as tinfoil, and that's actually not as reflective as it looks. Shiny, sure, but not reflective, and that is what matters.

Mylar blankets from the camping supply store or WHITE paint or panda film.

Aint that stuff the same as foil tape. If it is, alot of people use them in thier rubbermaid grow cabs.
