Organic peanut butter = useless/no difference

Yes SWIM reads everywhere that you must use "natural" peanut butter when cooking with cannabis. The theory being it has more fat and will extract the cannabaniods better.

Well does anyone actually know the difference between natural peanut butter and "Skippy" or "jiffs" "artificial peanut butter? If you did you would know that it makes no difference weather you use "natural" peanut butter or the normal kind most of us are used too.

The only difference between natural peanut butter and the "artificial" peanut butter is natural peanut butter lacks trans fat, while "artificial" peanut butter has added trans fat too it. If you don't add the trans fat to the peanut butter eventussauly the oil will separate from the peanut butter and collect at the top. With the added trans fat the natural fats will never separate from the peanut butter.

At least this is how i was told it was made by a creditable source. So it appears too me unnatural peanut butter should be better if anything too use, because it has both the natural fats and trans fats added too it, its simply the same + more.

does anyone have any reason not to believe this?

Easy enough to read the label..... if it has more in it than just peanuts and salt, don't buy it.

The stuff that has trans-fats, the trans-fats are from the lard they mix in to keep it from seperating.

BTW, stir the natural stuff up real good, then refrigetate it and it won't seperate.

Commercial PB is cut with sugar, HFCS, hydrogenated oils and thickeners. A 2 Tbs serving can have 3 grams of sugar in it (about 1/10 of an ounce)- check the label. It boils down to the fact that commercial PB has less oil in it than "organic" PB. THC "rides" into your body on oil. Unattached THC is lost. More oil = more THC in your brain.

I am not disputing that you got high on commercial PB, just that you might have gotten a tad higher with the "organic" PB.

The natural pb has less sugar and no thickeners/binders.
To make pb you only need peanuts a little extra peanut oil and salt. The extra oil is UN bound, that is it is more readily able to latch itself to a thc molecule. Commercially prepared pb WILL work, just not as efficiently as most of the free oil is bound. Read up on transfats-probably the most unhealthy types of fat there is. Do you really want them in your body ?? Why would major cracker/cake/snack mfr's rush to get a label that proudly states: Contains NO transfat label on their products? Eat it if you must, but your arteries aren't going to like it especially in the long haul.

There are so many nasty chemicals in skippy and jif and all that nonsense. Reals moms would choose real peanut butter. Ingredients: penuts, salt.

Hundreds of chemicals in weed + wierd chemicals in commercial peanut-chemical-butter could = weird chemical reactions upon baking... ya just don't know.... :wtf::wtf::wtf::hippy::hippy::hippy:

Anyway, eat real peanut butter, your heart will thank you and you will live to get high many more days.

    peace :rastasmoke:
