does purple make it sick?

has any one ever had this happen to them. I picked up this nycd/purp hybrid at a bank and promptly fried it to the point i almost tossed it! no one needs a sick plant, right? and it was hurtin sooooo bad. but tossed it into the corner to see what would happen with the strain! now Im thinking its sick for a whole new reason. its has a beautiful light purple hue to it.... i wish i could take better pics!

From my personal experiences I've come to realize specific strains turn purple @ maturity. But my experiences are few when it comes to purps. Cold and late harvest I cause this for certain.(not so much late harvest but cold)

for sure! Im kinda pist right now cause i cant keep my room cool enough to get some nice color...but my friend closer to the ocean with the same strain is sooooo purp its killin me! but what i was kinda getting at was if anyone had a plant that was so sick they almost threw it out but it actually turned out some beautiful herb!
