** Will this work?? Come quick, order on the way! **

Im growing in a homebox xs (2x2x4) and im growing buddha white dwarfs (From ) they will be under a 250w hps with a cooltube (from htpsupply?).. Well what im asking is would 1x intake 6'' inline fan pushing 250 CFM (cubic feet per minute), and i have 1x of the same 6'' fans on the cooltube.. Will another 6'' fan of the same one work?? Or would i need more?? Here is the specs of the fan.. And will i need 2x fans for my cooltube (One sucking in and out) or what??

    PLEASE HELP ME!

    Heres specs of fan:

250 CFM (cubic feet per minute)
    Fluted for easy installation
Powerful enough for 1 Reflector or Long Runs
Comes Completely Wired Ready To Go
    Fits all 6" A/C Fittings & Ducts
    Keeps your bulbs cooler
Reduces Bulb Fade & Extends Bulb Life
Remove the #1 Heat Source from your grow area
    1 YEAR FACTORY WARRANTY

The SunCourt Duct Booster Fan can be used for Ventilation or Reflector Cooling. Keeping your grow room when ventilated and temperature controlled is very important. Removing the heat from you reflector hood is also important. By adding a fan, Bulb Life is Extended, Bulb Fade is Reduced and reflectors can be placed closer to your plants. Comes with a 1yr Warranty Sun Light Supply.

That's a nice big fan that will still serve you well in a larger room.
You only need one, and it should be set up at the exhaust end to suck air throuhg the whole thing.
Now remember, unless you are running 2 fans (one light cooling system and one room cooling system, totally seperate ducts), you leave one end of the hood open to the room so that the exhaust goes out through the cooltube.

Thanks for the reply, i see you in alot of posts and you are really helpful!

So i should have a total of 3x Fans? (One for Cooltube at ehaust, A room exahust, and an intake fan) I will also have a fan in the room running.

So I leave the intake part of the exhaust open and put the fan at the very end of the exhaust?

And also, i got a T shape 6'' Duct can i use that instead of running 2x ducts? If so how should i do it running it out of the top.

just seriously run the one fan and one exhaust, thoruhg your cooltube in the order:
open-cooltube-duct-exhaust fan pointing OUT- carbon filter. you got it right.

don't worry about getting fancy; just run the exhaust 24/0 and use it for not only cooling, but also fresh air.

The homeboxes have a little intake-flappy thingy down at the bottom that works fine for passive intake.

I use a 6" 250cfm fan on my enclosed hood and seems to work good. I have mine set to blow cool intake air on the lights. Then I use a fan for blowing cool fresh air into the room. Should be fine without an exhaust vent unless heat becomes an issue.

So 2 fans (One for intake, and one Exhaust/cooltube) will be all i'll need? I won't need another exhaust unless heat becomes more of a problem right? And i can use the fan for both intake and exhaust?

Thanks for your advice guys!! I can't explain how much your help is appreciated!

Yeah you should be good. Walmart has a handy little digital humidity and temp meter that records the last 24hrs of humidity and temp. Its only like 8 bucks. That way you can tell what kind of a range your getting.

i use 4 inch CPU fans for intake. theyre rated anywhere form 70, 100 cfm. i you use one of these, your intake inlet can be just as big or smaller that your exhaust (dosent have to be 2-3x as big like with a passive intake.) you can find pre wired ones at buyextras.com and they cost about $20

you want to exhaust more air than you bring in to create a littel negative air pressure. this way, the stink stays inside.:rastasmoke:

oh. get a good inline fan (vortex) that can take the heat and long hours so you can place if after your hood (sucking hot air out rather than pushing cool air in.) this creates more negative air pressure and draws out more heat.
