First off a good friend of mine is an old time indoor grower thats been using 3 400watt hps lights in a 4x10 closet and has always grown trees. Today he said its time to change and wants to upgrade to 2 digital 600watters and has a 1000 watter he can use. I have convinced him of doing sog and I have agreed to do the cloning for him.(hes always grown from seed) We were running some numbers and this is what we've come up with.

2200watts/40 sqft = 55 watts sqft

He was really low when using those 400 watters!

Im thinking 70 perfect pots (8.5x8.5x7)2 gallon pots forced to flower around 8 inches. I was thinking 1/2 to a ounce per plant. He will be using his strain that he has grow for 20+ years. Its about a 8 week strain and has just about everything in it. I would say Skunk is the first thing that comes to mind when I see and smell his buds.
He will have a veg room using 4ft shop lights also so fresh clones will be sent to flower as soon as flower room is empty.
Ventilation will not be a problem since the closet is in a large room thats dedicated to growing.
His hope in the end is to pull 4lbs every 8-10 weeks

Is this possible?Would less pots for more room or force to flower when smaller or bigger be better? Any input would be a help.:thumbsup:
