They loved him there, and it was a good speech. Every time he talked about cooperation, he got a cheer. It's such a contrast from the "with us or against us" kinds of ultimatums they've been hearing from the US for eight years. Obama will rebuild our friendships instead of looking for new enemies.

Who came up with that? McCain camapign strategy session:

"Ok, Obama is going to be speaking to 200,000 cheering Germans at the Victory Tower in Berlin. What are we going to do in response?"

"Well, I think maybe we might be able to book the Heidelberg Hoffbrau downtown. Maybe stand out front and whine about the attention Obama is getting?"

"Brilliant! Let's do it! How's the bratwurst there?"
