Tic Syndrome
Ok this question is for some real marajuana and experts I would believe. Now the problem apparently started back when I was younger in like 3rd grade. Looking back on it I would do these little tics like throat clearing, coughing, or sniffling. Little things. I never thought anything of it as they would go away within a couple days. Well im 20 in a month but about 17 almost 18 these tics started getting worse. I started ticking like crazy and now there pretty mad. I'm diagnosed and there really isnt any cured. I have tic syndrome they didnt rule it tourettes because I have none of the behavioral problems that accompany it. Now I really want these to stop so I looked alot into alterantive. Marajuana is one of the numbner one thing ive read thats helps people control tics. But the thing is for me in generally makes them worse. I also have a lot of body pain from football stuff that doesnt heal and it will sometimes make the pain for noticable not in a bad way but just more aware of it. Anyway was wondering if anyone knew why marajuana made my brain chemisty counter act to smoking? I'm thinking this could be a lead to curing myself since this problem came on all so sudden. Well as many replies as possible would be great. Thank you guys for taking the time to read my post.

Tic Syndrome
I have the sniffling tic... it only developed a few years ago. I think it is heavily linked to allergies and such, as I have really bad allergies, and if people notice the tic, I just say it is my allergies.
Anyway, I found that cannabis generally suppresses my allergies and the tic. However, the smoke is very irritating to nasal and bronchial passages, etc which only further complicates the issue.
I vaporize now, and that fixes everything bro. I have also found that if I am very calm, deep breathing, and meditating, etc I can help control it as well. Not as good as cannabis, but it helps.

Have you tried edibles? They provide a different route of medication and often give different results than smoking.
My hubby has a lot of body pain. He finds that smoking give only a slight amount of relief. I make him some "magic muffins" and the pain goes away. Look, I use shake, vapor duff, a little bud and even finely ground fan leaves in the muffins and always, he gets substantial relief. The THC level is usually only enough to give a nice gentle buzz.
But it isn't just THC in pot that kills pain, etc! There are other compounds that also work. MS sufferers use teas and get pain relief- THC is NOT water soluble- the pain relief is coming from a water soluble compound. Can these compounds get into you through smoke? Who knows? But the high of smoking is not the same as the high from eating! That, I know for sure!
So you might want to wander over to the recipe section and take a peek. Give it a try and see if the results are different. I'd just make up some normal muffins and then stir in a bit of finely powdered pot mixed with a bit of oil into a couple of them- if it is a flop, you waste less pot.
Another thought- are some strains more affecting than others? Indica and sativa have different effects because of different chemical make ups.
Good luck! - Granny:hippy:

Well... while i havent properly tics, i noticed whenever i smoke some strong sativa i twitch a lot, some times uncontrolably... what doesnt happens when i smoke indicas... so maybe its why your tics get worse when you smoke... try some indica. It should help...:jointsmile:

Thank you guys for the replies. Yes I think maybe Indica might help also. And i'm trying to get my club card pretty soon. Once you get it you get a paper from the doctor right? Can you just walk into any club from there on or do you need to call in advance or how does that work?
And for the edibles do you really not get really high is that what your saying? I thought they got you really high. I have tried making tea but wasnt very sucesful. I used about 1.5 grams for 2 people boiled it in whole milk, water, and cocnut oil didnt really do much.
