Okay... um... the SIXTEEN year old kid shouldn't be giving legal advice... Dude. Stay in school, and listen in your civics classes.

COPS MAY ENTER YOUR HOUSE WITHOUT A WARRANT IF THERE IS PROBABLE CAUSE TO DO SO.

AAARGH!

Don't joke about snitching. Not funny, not cool. And before you consider it, read this thread:
International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - Young Woman Busted for Pot Gets Killed Acting as Police Informant

You trade off maybe a few months in the penalty box, walking out with your conscience clean, for the possibility of a price on your head, depending on who your roommate is and with whom he is connected. You may not know about it.

NEVER turn states evidence unless something happened the your conscience will not be free of otherwise. If knowing that, say, your roommate was beating up old ladies for their social security checks and you would feel burdened by that knowledge, and that you hadn't done something- that's something else entirely. To save your ass a short trip to the pen, come ON.

This thread is getting too violent and I think we have gotten some basics out there:
-Be safe
-Get a good lawyer
-Don't make a SINGLE statement to the authorities without your attorney present
-Your roommate needs a whuppin' like his momma never gave him
-Disassociate yourself from him as best as you can; don't try to contact him etc.because if the cops think you guys are buddies, it's both your asses for either of your crimes
-Get your papers in order like you are applying for a freaking job, make yourself look NAIIVE, HARMLESS, YOUNG, and WELL MEANING.
-Listen to the advice of those who've gone before you
-Did I mention be safe?

Good luck man.
