Of course that shift of 1,700,000 voters is only a couple of percentage points and doesn't guarantee anything, but I think it bodes well for a Democratic sweep this fall. Many of the new voters are in swing states that went to Bush by very narrow margins. And the new registration numbers favor Democrats in congressional and senate races as Rating: 5
