I just returned home from a second interview for a job that I need to get. I was tipped off that this place gives a hair follicle test (they have yet to mention it) and an online search revealed that they use both hair and urine testing.

Now as I understand it, a hair test will go back 90 days. Just about 90 days ago was the last time I smoked in any meaningful sense so that should be ok, but about 2 weeks ago I took a single hit of some very low-quality bud. I know I'm straight with the urine but how much danger am I in with the hair test? Will this minimal amount be enough to result in a positive test?

Thinking that I might be tested today I purchased a detox shampoo called "STAT! Hair Shampoo Kit" It was recommended to me by a friend who works at a head shop; apparrently they sell quite a bit of this stuff and have done so for quite some time. They have yet to receive a complaint. The only troubling thing about the shampoo is that it says on the box that the cleaning only lasts for 24 hours. As far as I can tell the shampoo is not just a masking agent but actually removes THC and such from the hair. This leads me to believe that the 24 hour period has to do with the growth of new hair that would not have been cleansed.

If this is the case, I would guess that because I've passed all thc out of my system, that any hair that grows from this point on would not contain any thc and that since the rest of the hair on my head is detoxed I would pass. I'm just not sure though.

In case this helps here are some more details. I'm 6'3" and weigh around 220 lbs. Since the new year I have been fairly dedicated to fitness; dropped 35lbs with moderate muscle gain. During said time I've been eating very clean (about 90% organic and multiple supplements) and perform both aerobic exercise and weight training frequently. I also currently work in a ball-busting factory where I sweat quite a bit each day while drinking a well-above amount of water. That said I think that my metabolism is fairly high right now and my system should be completely flushed.

Anyway, I would very much appreciate any advice that anyone could give me, I do have a small amount of shampoo left to use before the test but not enough for the prescribed cleansing. I also plan to wash my hair with a charcoal based shampoo until the date of the test (still unknown but probably in next 7-10 days). I also read about usiing alternating washes with vinegar and baking soda paste, I suppose I'll do this as well (figure it can't hurt). It would be great if I'm making a big deal out of nothing but I want to be sure. Thanks again for any words of wisdom.
