the only thing I can see that was different from the very first set was the upper chamber didnt have anything in it yet so the main light wasnt being used as yet and I didnt have any heat build up in the lower chamber but have modified the cabinet to fix this prob. as for the "going down hill", they seem to sprout ok and actually get to be about 1 1/2 inches tall, can see the first set of true leaves just starting to emerge, then the top of the stem just below the head starts to get hard and turns darker in color. Finally, the top 1/2 inch of the stem gets hard as a rock and dried right out. Checked temp and moisture this morning, temp 81 degrees (just ending a 12 hour main light burn) and humidity at 58%. Cubes themselves were ready for a drink and gave a little water. Still no nutes and just plain old 6.0 water at room temp. Will have to read bout posting pics and hopefully have some up by later today (7/21). Thanks for any help that anyone can give. As you prob can tell I'm new to this and has been a HUGE learning exp so far.
