the vaccine is to protect against HPV (human papillomavirus, same as plantar warts)....this virus increases the chances for cervical cancer and the vaccine is not a cure, it is a preventative. i have an 8 year old daughter who we are discussing whether to get it or not. hopefully by the time she reaches the age for the shot there will be a lot more research done on it

People's opinion of the immunization against cervical cancer for girls there has been alot of talk in the u.k about the new vaccine being introduced to prevent cervicle cancer, it has caused some controversy as its being offered to girls from the age of 12, and as cervicle cancer is commonly caused by std's many parents feel its wrong to give it to girls so young. i was wondering what people here thought about it? my daughter is 7 this year and when she's 12 i'll probably get it done as i think every girl should have that protection, my daughter may not start Rating: 5
