The Republican canidate is the former Lt gov Duke Aiona. The Dems have Mufi Hanniman former moyor of Honolulu going against Neil Abacrombie, the former US congressman for Downtown Honolulu.

Niel is by far the most liberal of the three. He is also the frontrunner. Since all three are well known in Honolulu they should split the vote there evenly. Oahu usualy decide every election. This year is shaping up to be decided on the neighbor islands.

Whoever wins the Dem primary will be the next Governor. Aiona doesn't stand a chance.

My money is on Neil. In his younger years he was a stoner. He is also the only one that came out early and has taken some unpopular stands. I also think he is the most open to full legaization.

Do your research. Get out and vote.
