Glass Water Pipe "Won't Work"

Okay, I GET that this is a n00b question.
i know how to use glass pipes, but i recently got a bubbler. it looks something like this http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11441992/Glass_Bubbler.jpg

now, i smoked out of it only twice, and it was working well.
then, i tried it a third time and when i took my thumb off the carb and inhaled, it was met with resistance and NO smoke entered my mouth...
i cleaned it three times, each time using a successful method of cleaning, but nothing has worked. so now, it blows because when i try and light the bowl, i burn myself because the flame isnt drawn to the weed (instead, the flame just hovers and the weed stays green).
i really need to figure this out, help me please!

**ive tried alcohol + salt, specific cleaners, etc.

It's not like there are moving parts or pumps to aid in the airflow, so... yeah... that's my thoughts. Or am I missing something?

or give it an alcohol bath

concentrated orange juice is a good way to loosen things if you can't get anything to move, the acidity in the juice helps corrode and dissolve the oils in the resin or whatever may be jammed in there.

If all else fails get a water compressor pump that a lot of people have in their garage and just spray the piss out of it...see if that helps

good news everybody: its unclogged!
i just did the alcohol and salt thing REALLY thouroughly and a giant clump of weed (???) spat out.

I am very pleased to see that you took everyone's advice, even though you had already done an abrasive cleaning. It seems like many self proclaimed "noobs" will ask a question, disregard it, and say "Yeah, I already did that!" or "Nah, I don't think that's it." :wtf:
