pipes are pretty good for conserving weed and/or smoking by one's self, but if you plan to blaze with friends then joints are the way to go, also they taste better that pipes.

Should I get a metal pipe instead though? I don't have any pipes, and I'll be toking alone for right now. I'm not sure if j's waste green to a significant degree, or what. I figured they did since they were lit all the time, but then I roll small j's, so the fireball is pretty tiny vs. a small metal pipe more of it would be lit up anyways so it would seem just as if not more wasteful.
