    tall plant, few leaves

im a first time grower and i started out using a 120 watt "grow bulb" and a reflector. i thought it would be okay for the first few weeks until i could get some kind of better lighting. Now im a few weeks in (3? or so) and the plants are about 12 inches tall at most and has only top leaves and is very lanky. I have kept the light about 8 - 10 inches away most of the time due to its heat. I recently got a few flourescent lights and added a black light in just for the heck of it. Im not looking to grow much but what i am growing i want to turn out good. would appreciate it if someone would tell me if this is normal and what i can do to make it bushier. Thanks

get floros to start your plants if i was you i would tie it down 90 degrees then let it veg under floros sounds like your light was to far away and it streched. use floros to start its easier to regulate there height
