new grower 15 days into flowering

    Hey there guys and gals,

i'm a new grower and my plants are 32 days along (17 days veg and 15 days flowering).

2 of my plants are getting twice as tall as the other 2 so i've moved them around under the light. I am using CFL's but was using HID's however the room got way too hot (hense the few brown leaves... room hit got to 150F now sitting in 80's with CFL's)

according to my calcs this next week i should be able to sex the plants. They are feminised seeds so hoping for 4 females (lost one in germination).

I've put some pics for you to see here. Can some experts let me know if they think the plants look ok... and i've added two close ups (to the best of my cam) to see if anyone has any views on sex yet. - should be noted that i'll post 2 times... first with long shots second with closer pics.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm using plagron batmix. It is made up of white peat, Baltic peat, Irish white peat fragments, sphagnum, black peat, worm manure, organic fertilisers and also 15% perlite

    pH: 5,8 and 6,2
    EC: 1.4 and 1.6

at present i've not used any ferts because the soil has all the goodies I think it needs... am worried about burning the plants. Let me know if you think I need to be stepping up the gears now that i'm into day 33. :hippy:

I've just gone and bought 2 new high output CFL 125W to suppliment the 250W CFL i already have above.

where is the best place to hang the lights? below canopy, to the sides of the plants or in the middle.

My set up is shown in my first post. i have 4 plants in a 2 x 2 configuration.

Any advice will be much apprciated.

Best position is above and the bulbs sideways. You have a girl. Looks great. No worries and let her mature so you can reap the benefits to the max.

You might want to start feeding kelp meal tea or seaweed tea and molasses. You might want to use a mild flowering solution. Don't worry about it too much if you follow the directions. You can't loose if you follow the directions and use organic fertilizers. You get feminized seeds? Sometimes they hermie so be careful and keep the fert balanced. Definitely want to start fortifying the soil because at about thirty days the plant has eaten and used a lot of those nutrients. :weedpoke:

If you had used an organic fert to begin with it probably would not have hurt at all. My first grow was with a soiless mix that had plentiful goodies that I got from an organic nursery run by a pro gardener in her seventies. She has been growing since she was probably in her twenties but she mixes all her stuff and brews her own compost. The stuff is wicked. I still used Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom. The plant was about five feet indoors at week four. It was a bad mamma jamma. I used a LOT of fert too. Nothing that was a killer but half a capful per 24 ounces so I guess it was about right from the directions. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND YOU WILL BE FINE.

thanks for the info guys... i've gone and bought BioBizz Bio-Bloom (don't know if you have heard of it), here is a link to where i've bought it with info about it Organics > Bio-Bizz Nutrients & Additives > BioBizz Bio-Bloom

got to be honest i'm a bit out of my debth about the amount to add to the amount of water. I water the plants every two days or when they feel dry about 2" below the level of the soil (like i keep reading) but i'm not measuring out the water i'm giving them.

i'll see if there are good instructions on when it comes tomorrow. plus i'll add a few more pics as they are starting to take off more and more.

wow. 150 degrees F? i didnt know life exsists at those temps. anyhow, your plants look vigorous and i cant wait so see their flowers. wish i had a 70 year old gardener here (probably is somewere) to help me out. and i have a hard time finding good soil. maybe i should just go hydro (and move somewhere legal.)but im not here no bitch. your ladies look lovely.
