It is a recommendation, NOT a prescription. Any doctor PRESCRIBING cannabis can lose their license. Recommending, is safe, however.

To get a rec, you must be 18 and have a medical problem. Get a copy of your medical records- it makes it easier.

If you have 6 plants, will you be busted?

Well, right now that is an interesting question. The courts just threw out the 6 plant limit because it was imposed improperly. We are presently in limbo, with no set amounts, as far as I know. But I'm not growing more than 6 plants per rec! And I keep things very quiet! Rippers are a problem as well as cops!

Ask your doctor put your weekly/monthly amount on your rec. I'm set for 3/4 oz per week (more than I really need). The hubby is set for 1 oz per week. Until the court thing is settled, it could make a difference in any court case.

It also depends on your attitude- are you going to be an ass? Then, yes, they will figure out some pretext to bust you. Or are you going to calmly and respectfully show them your papers and explain that you are compliant with the old rules and are waiting on the new ones.

Actually, if you do things right- be discrete, don't boast about your grow, six plants & no more, be nice to your neighbors, don't steal power, etc- you should stand little chance of being busted. However, I left SD 30 years ago, so I have no clue about the climate there now. I now live in a corrupt, red-neck corner of the state, and survive quite nicely, since no one suspects that this little old lady grows much more than just orchids and African violets!

lol thanks for the reply you sound cool granny lets medicate sometime. i am very respectfull and would never tell anyone and am growing indoors and probly only 4 plants. i am getting a reccomendation for back and neck pain from a car accident and depression and anxiety from a tragic family death recently. i have papers for the accident. so if i was to get a visit from the police and i show them my papers would i goto court? i have rights ...i can grow its a law..not federal but state i know..i will be nice to them tho. these are just ideas tho....thanks
