If we are a direct result of natural evolution, then everything that we produce is also a part of it: the merging of biology and technology is one possible form of evolution. The only question is will technology evolve to become the dominant factor?

Remember when virtual reality was getting popular? What ever happened to it? I wish development of it didn't slack off so they could have found ways to indirectly connect our brains to it. The research isn't too different from using brain signals to move robotic prosthetic limbs... it's just the other way around, providing the areas of our brain the right signals.

Even better, make a machine to induce a perfect lucid dream, and keep you there indefinitely. I totally would be a test subject for that!
