Maybe when you smoke you should hire someone to whack you with a rolled up magazine and yell, "Get off your lazy ass!"

well, its part of the comedown to get tired.

and its all about will power, if you can fight the urge to sleep during the 45 minutes you will want to after blazing, then you can get past the feeling and then you wont be tired again.

i also try not to eat until i get tired, cause when eating people seem to suddenly lose the need to sleep afterwards.

Could be the strain you are smoking and the way it was harvested although my limited experience has led me to think that all forms of weed will make you want to close your eyes at some point. I like the magazine trick but you might want to try planning something right before you smoke, (Watching TV) is probably not the right plan. I blow a nice bowl before I mow my lawn. Plan something active. Works for me!:thumbsup:

look for a sativa instead of a heavy indica strain

You and I should swap our stash. (just kidding). But seriously, all I can get nowadays is an early harvested sativa strain, and it makes it so I *can't* sleep. I wish I had an indica strain, or something harvested later so I could experience the more "relaxed" effects of cannabis. The more I smoke of my stuff the more it jacks me up like espresso or something and makes my thoughts race. I wish I had an indica or something like that to try.

dude same problem, ill be keen to go out but if I smoke on a friday afternoon I just feel like lazing around for the rest of the evening. Thats why I only now smoke on Sundays when I have nothing to do but relax. Thats just how bud treats me

You may want to try your own grow... do 2 or 3 different strains. one indica, one sativa and one hybrid. Between the 3, you should have most all the bases covered. FWIW, I just last night tried a little of my Afghani Hindu Kush for the first time.... was seriously trippin from 1 hit on the waterpipe, and have some very nice indica too. the Ultra Haze isn't ready yet.

My last grow produced some really good stuff, but it makes me very tired. I tend to try to smoke before I do something fun or active. Mountain biking and skateboarding are two things I love to do while high. Either that or I'll smoke with a friend and just talk about random shit till I'm not tired anymore. Although, it has to be the right friend. Some of my friends just don't have much going on in there head.
