FRANKLY, the human body is not meant to be lethargic by any means, but it is meant to be constantly active. and it is in constant activity that we become toughened up to a lot of the elements.
it doesnt take much effort to create our own "exoappendages", where we lack claws and fangs we make up for in knives and spears. it isnt hard to use the environment to our advantage, whereas it is more difficult for some animals to use certain aspects of the environment, we can use almost all of it.
IN any case, however, you are right, other tribes and the elements will eventually get to us, if not both.
FRANKLY politics REALLY shouldnt exceed a small area of influence, and should be integral, not stark and different between neighbors. say, a township sized political influence should be the largest influence of any political group, and all towns around it are similar with their own gradual differences until you reach the other side of the country where it is, or could be, completely polar opposite. that way if you are exhiled from your "tribe" or community, you can just go to your neighbor, and find a place where you fit in better, rather than being completely shunned by everyone around you, or just plain killed.
this is a MUST if we are going to continue to be a diverse nation of art and culture... if we ever were...
i dunno, im still thinking we were supposed to be the free nation where the whole world could fit in, and yet we arent, rather we're trying to change the whole world to suit us.
it's WRRRONG.
