I never thought I'd say this but Elvis is awesome.

He changed music forever , John Lennon is quoted as having said "Before Elvis there was nothing".

I have been a fan for a long time .

Cool, could you recommend me some stuff by him?

I got his 50 greatest hits CD and I can't turn it off. The music, his voice, some of the songs is so fun to listen to and others are just mellow and amazing.

When I was younger I couldn't stand it, but now wow, why didn't I like it before? lol.

I like most of his old stuff , his debut album which is simply called Elvis has some of my alltime fave tracks.

I would also advise you acquire the soundtrack to
King Creole which IMO was the best movie he ever made
and
GI Blues which IMO is his second best

His movie music wasn't always very well written but Elvis could sing a telephone directory and make it sound good :thumbsup:
