Low Prices
When I look around YouTube and message boards, some people brag about low prices ($20 for an 1/8th, etc.) and some people post seemingly regular prices ($40-50 per 1/8th). I've seen about a 50/50 split.
Is it just about knowing the better dealers? That seems more like luck than skill.thclevel5 Reviewed by thclevel5 on . Also age/duration in stoner community.
A large chunk of retail pricing ( and wholesale, really) is " risk premium". If a customer brings with them a greater chance of legal intanglements,/rip-offs/ hassle, the customer pays more. In any situation. The seller needs a higher profit to accept the increased risk.
This happens right down the line from producer to final consumer- If a mid-level wholesaler gets a rep for playing fast and loose, his/her upstream will either cut them off, or charge them a risk premium.
When you've been in a community for a long time, and you have good bona-fides, pricing drops accordingly. Often, amongst people who have been dealing with each other for decades, retail mark-up barely even covers the gas to drop it off- the perception of risk is very low, so nobody needs to get an extra x$ on top to put aside for their lawyer when things go wrong.
Also quality, availability of alternate product, depth in distro network, regional pricing diffs.

This probably is just my community. I've been loyal for 6 years and am over 21 years old, but this place is stuck up, so that risk premium makes sense.

How me and my friends get cheap weed is we all chip in for a QP, the price is cheaper per gram and just figure out how much you get depending on how much you chip in. One guy goes and sees the dealer and the dealer likes the bigger purchases results in even cheaper weed down the road.

herbalconfusion: hopefully. Maybe I really should just make road trips to those mountain towns. I used to live in one of them, and the prices were in the similar to yours. But I'm in northern Colorado Springs, home of every paranoid evangelical group on Earth, whether or not my peers realize it. I'm happy just having enough money for as much as I need.
