I see what you are saying... which is why I said it may be too idealistic, but I still believe it holds answers to modern problems. It's when people think, and use phrasing like:

Do you see what I'm saying? I'm just trying to spread the message that we need to start thinking differently. We should stop thinking that we can't make change, because things are "too bad." We should quit trying to predict the future, and stop claiming our unwaivering acceptance of an upcoming World War. We NEED to stop thinking that whatever country has extreme poverty or mass violence, will be that way FOREVER. Think about it... every day, dozens of people are murdered in the United States. Women are raped and abused... children are neglected... we violently and unjustly police morality... people go hungry... should I keep going? We need to understand that we are NOT the model country that we have always been told we are. We are still an amazing country, but we can't hide from history anymore. The problems we face every day, although different, are just as difficult as any other persons problems. Would we allow another global power to invade our city streets because they were upset with our increasing gang violence? Or our countries drug problem? How about child abduction? These things happen in so called "evil" nations, (and they should be stopped for sure) but they also happen in this country. Are you satisfied in saying that America will continue to decline into chaos, street violence, war, and death? Personally, I am not. I know that we can change and be the great country that we desperately want to be, in an intelligent and peaceful way. I also think that we should offer that same faith and opportunity to those countries that we judge so harshly. I know I'm not perfect, and I don't expect anyone else to be either... but I do hope that we don't just give up when things get a bit complicated.

In the mean time, I'm going to Stay and Keep
