They should not be going off to other countries to fight.


If our allies are UNDER ATTACK, then we go to THEIR country and defend them too.

but we CANNOT allow our troops to fight wars off allied and home land soil!!!

I know a little bit about serving the country. My grandfather, father , 2 uncles, myself, several cousins and now my sister have served.

It does not make it any easier to swallow knowing a loved one is going in harms way.

With that said.. who are we to tell someone to fuck off because of an opinion. I think all those soldiers I listed before fought to keep mine and your right to say what we want.

she knew what she was getting into when she enlisted. She is an adult now and has to make her own choices. Love her enough to support her in her pursuit of lifes experiences, and it doesnt matter if its right or wrong in your mind. whats important is whats right in *her* mind.

I wish her fair winds and following seas, and am gratefull she is willing and able to serve.

Somebody has to make sure we aren't attacked, or our friends. What the hell do you know. Are you ready to defend your home if the military quits doing things for you? If the military says F it and goes on vacation and some unfriendlies roll up on our beaches and come to kill you...Are you ready to fight? The people we're fighting in Iraq have no organized military, navy, or air force, they're not going to roll up on our beaches..And I'd say most homes in America have at least one gun in them, and every country in the world knows that, which is why japan had to sneak up on us at pearl harbor to hurt us...

I will sneak into canada before I get sent to DEFEND IRAQ. Iraq has nothing to do with defending our country. I'm sorry but it doesn't. The price of oil has quadrupled since we started this war, we haven't accomplished anything to benefit our country by any means, especially considering the fact that bin laden is still free and clear after basically killing 2,000 americans on september 11th.

Mark my words, the day some sorry pieces of shit invade our country, I will take arms and defend my country with my life, just as the people in the middle east are defending their country against foreign presence.

Both the dem and rep candidates aren't worth knockin inna head. I am afraid I will have to vote for the alternative this time around. It won't be who I am voting for, it will be who I am voting against.

First of all we have plenty of reserves here if we were allowed to actually drill on them. ANWAR and the coast are to prime examples. By not covering a third, are you referring the ones we are currently drilling or all the reserves known within our boarder?

Finally, if this war were for oil why the hell are we paying $4 a gallon? That's simply ignorant. I think it would seem natural that if the reason for this war were "black gold" oil would be cheaper. The Iraqi's control their oil not the American government.
